RALEIGH, N.C. - Rex Healthcare has opened Rex Primary Care of Cary located at 1515 SW Cary Parkway, Suite 200. Formerly Rex Internal Medicine of Cary, specializing in the needs of older adults, the practice is now expanding services to see patients ages 18 and older.
"We are pleased to expand our capabilities to serve a greater number of patients throughout the area," said Practice Manager Lee White. "Primary care physicians play an important role in the prevention of illness, as well as treatment. By expanding services, we can do more to have a healthy community. We look forward to getting to know our new patients."
Rex Primary Care of Cary offers a broad scope of quality health care services. The practice's clinical team is led by Mamatha Ramaswamy, M.D., a board-certified physician who has practiced medicine in the area for the last decade and has special interest in women's health, geriatrics and diabetes. The practice also plans to accommodate additional patients by adding a new physician in May 2011.
Rex Primary Care of Cary has also expanded patient access through its affiliation with Triangle Physician Network (TPN). The practice is affiliating with TPN to offer enhanced access to the network's full-range of primary care and specialty services. TPN is a not-for-profit, joint effort between the University of North Carolina Health Care and Rex Healthcare to operate a regional network of physicians that supports the evolving health care needs of the region.
