The rex hospital foundation
“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”
- Winston Churchill
Through the concern and bequests of Raleigh tanner, John Rex, Rex Hospital opened its doors in 1894 with a staff of only seven in the converted home of former Governor Charles Manly. Since then, Rex Hospital has grown and flourished into a technologically advanced community hospital that provides superior healthcare services.
The non-profit Rex Hospital Foundation was founded in l958 by a group of public-spirited citizens who wanted to fulfill a community need. Created with patients in mind, The Rex Hospital Foundation’s mission is to raise funds to support and enhance the programs and services of Rex Hospital. In 2008, The Rex Hospital Foundation will celebrate a milestone of 50 years of supporting the initiatives of Rex Hospital.
Together, we can make a difference!
Thanks in large part to the continued generosity of our benefactors, Rex is uniquely positioned to lead the way in providing community based quality health care that is both accessible and affordable.
We help donors achieve their personal and financial objectives while they invest in improving the health of their community through Rex. If you would like to speak with someone about a program or service the Foundation supports or are interested in making a donation, please call (919) 784-4434.
The Rex Hospital Foundation office is located across from Rex Hospital at 2500 Blue Ridge Road,
Suite 325.
