Raleigh, N.C. - Rex Family Practice of Wakefield will host an "Ask the Expert: Teen Health" event on Saturday, March 17 at 9 a.m., the latest installment in Rex Healthcare's "Ask the Expert" series. Dr. Robert Gardner and Dr. Amy Walsh, board-certified family physicians with a special interest in adolescent health, will answer questions about teen health and adolescence, immunizations, healthy lifestyle habits, adolescent mental health and getting teens ready for college.

"We are excited about the opportunity to talk with parents and their children about the important health issues facing teenagers today," Gardner said. "With younger patients we see them often for immunizations and yearly checkups. However, it's just as important for parents to be aware of their child's health as they enter those critical teen years. As teenagers grow into young adults, we want to ensure they understand what the transition can be like and where they can turn for more answers."

This event is free and open to the public; space is limited so please RSVP to (919) 784-1259 or email eventrsvp@rexhealth.com. For more information, visit rexhealth.com/wakefield-family-practice.

Media Note: Prior to the event Drs. Gardner and Walsh are available to talk about the latest in teen health including immunizations, healthy lifestyle habits, adolescent mental health and getting your teen prepared for college.
