Clinical Instructors Recognized
The Carolina Clinical Education Consortium Awards Three Exceptional Instructors

The Rex Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center (RRNCC) of Apex has been awarded the honor of Outstanding Clinical Instructors of the Year by the Carolina Clinical Education Consortium (CCEC) for excellence in student educational experience. Three instructors have been named in conjunction with the award: Doug Frie, MAPT, rehab manager; Mark Ferguson, physical therapist; and Stacey Mare, physical therapist.

The CCEC represents physical therapy education programs and clinical facilities across North and South Carolina that provide educational opportunities to students at participating area colleges and universities. The RRNCC was recommended for the award by students from Duke University because of their positive experience working with the center.

"Rex Healthcare is proud of its commitment to the highest quality care, and the center has been fortunate to receive that same commitment from the students who work with our program," said Roy Tempke, PT, NHA, MHA, director of Long Term Care at Rex. "Out of more than 200 educational locations, we are pleased that the Carolina Clinical Education Consortium has chosen our program as the recipient of this accolade - it is a true testament to the hard work our team puts into teaching, in addition to resident care."

RRNCC is a leader in patient care, providing patients with a specially-trained nursing staff and skilled caregivers who provide around-the-clock nursing care. The center also provides an educational experience to nursing and physical therapy students.

The RRNCC of Apex is located at 911 S. Hughes Street in Apex, N.C. Call (919) 363-6011 for more information or to schedule a tour.
