RALEIGH, N.C. – Rex Healthcare proudly announces its participation in events and initiatives across the Triangle that aim to raise awareness and educate local residents about the importance of breast screenings, checkups and exams during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout October, Rex will join Jersey Mikes, Brighton Collectibles and local health providers to bring awareness activities to Triangle residents.

Rex is encouraging breast cancer education and awareness through several initiatives. For more information, visit rexhealth.com/pink-october.

"Think Pink" with Rex and Jersey Mikes – All Month

During the month of October, Rex and Jersey Mikes have teamed up to raise money for the Rex Healthcare Foundation. Purchase a turkey sub at any Triangle-area Jersey Mikes, and a portion of the proceeds will go towards helping underserved women in the community receive mammograms.

"Power of Pink" with Brighton Collectibles – All Month

Who doesn't love a new piece of jewelry? During October, a portion of the proceeds from each 2012 limited-edition bracelet purchased at Brighton Collectibles will support the Mammography Certificate Program of the Rex Healthcare Foundation. The bracelet can be worn with pink-accented links or reversed to wear as an all-silver bracelet!

Le Tour de Femme – Oct. 13

Join the Rex team on Oct. 13 for this women's only, full- and half-metric century bicycle ride in Cary to benefit the Rex Healthcare Angel Fund and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
