Rex Healthcare exists to deliver excellence in healthcare to all people in our community. Every day, Rex physicians, co-workers and volunteers take our mission of providing the best in health services beyond the walls of the hospital into communities we call home.
Rex Healthcare takes great pride in supporting community initiatives and health services. There isn't profit in providing free screenings or health classes, or in helping the community's underservedconnect with preventive care. But we have a responsibility to provide these services to all, regardless of their ability to pay. Last fiscal year, Rex Healthcare spent more than $82 million to prevent illness, promote wellness and improve the overall health of our community. This includes more than $165,000 a day in charity care for patients who are truly in need, and unable to pay.
Rex sponsors many health related outreach projects throughout Wake County. We are committed to being an outstanding corporate citizen by supporting health and human services, education, the arts and economic development initiatives.
