The American Heart Association has released its 2010 guidelines for CPR, and Rex Wellness Centers can teach you these life-saving skills.

Rex Wellness Centers offers two courses, CPR for Family & Friends and BLS Healthcare Provider Course.
The CPR course for Family and Friends teaches rescue skills in CPR and relief of airway obstruction. We present information about the American Heart Association adult chain of survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. Participants also learn about the AHA pediatric infant and child chain of survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of sudden infant death syndrome and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children. Participants will receive a course completion card. Cost is $36 for members and $40 for non-members.

The BLS for Healthcare Provider course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. This course is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings. Participants will receive an American Heart Association certification card.
Cost is $70 for members and $80 for non-members (includes book and certification).
