Cystoscopy Laser Enucleation of the Prostate

Cystoscopy Laser Enucleation of the Prostate is a procedure that involves removing prostate tissue which is causing blockage. This minimally invasive operation is performed on men who have an enlarged prostate and who are experiencing problems urinating.

During the surgery, a telescope is passed through the urethra and a laser is used to cut away the enlarged portions of the prostate tissue. The tissue is broken up by a morcellator and removed through the telescope. By removing the obstructed tissue, the capsule of the prostate remains intact, and the blockage is released which allows the patient to experience relief.
