Grateful Patient Campaign

Support the Life-Saving Work of Rex Healthcare

At Rex Healthcare, we understand time is valuable to people like you because of family, career, or both. So on behalf of the physicians and staff at Rex, I thank you for counting on us to provide the quick, convenient care you need. As you know if you have been a recent patient, you have become a member of our family and a part of our heritage of excellent care.

Over the years, Rex patients have expressed their gratitude in many ways: kind words, heart-felt thank-you notes-even homemade cookies. Today, I ask you to consider supporting our efforts by making a charitable gift to the Rex Healthcare Foundation.

As a not-for-profit hospital affiliated with the University of North Carolina Health Care System, Rex Healthcare depends on charitable contributions to make our hospital even stronger.

With your gift, you can help sustain our life-saving work and touch the lives of patients just like you. And patients like Clare McEntegart Luffman, who was diagnosed with breast cancer after giving birth to her son.

"I just knew Rex would be the best place for me. ... Right from day one, my caregivers at Rex remembered my name," says Clare. "I know I got the best care at Rex and I feel so lucky to have my husband and son-everything in my life. Today, four years later, I'm doing great!"

Your contribution will help us to:

  • Purchase state-of-the-art technology such as robotic surgery equipment that enables less invasive treatments and faster recoveries.
  • Extend the education and training of our top-ranked nursing and medical staff.
  • Enhance our facilities, and fund new ones such as our new cancer and heart & vascular centers.

With your support, Rex Healthcare will continue to reach new heights and provide the expert, compassionate care you-and the rest of our community-have come to expect.

Thank you again for choosing excellence. Thank you for choosing Rex Healthcare.

"Great oaks from little acorns grow"
- Geoffrey Chaucer

If you have ever been to a Rex facility, you may have seen caregivers wearing acorn pins on their lapels. These pins come from patients and families like you.

And, behind each pin is a story:

Stories of deep relief.

"I expect little from life beyond that which I already have. The ability to look forward is largely creditable to you [Rex], for which I will always be grateful."

Stories of extraordinary compassion at a vulnerable time.

"They gave us hope - that's what we wanted, just a little bit of hope."

Did a Rex co-worker make a memorable difference for you or your family? Today, please consider honoring that special person through the Grateful Patient & Family program.

When you give, you ensure the future of excellent healthcare for our community. Rex is a not-for-profit hospital. With your gift, you can help sustain our life-saving work and touch the lives of patients just like you.

It is easy and quick to do.

Simply share the co-worker's name in the space provided on the donation form you send or fill out online.

We will present an acorn pin to your awardee along with a note of thanks in your name, with no gift amount mentioned.
