RALEIGH, N.C. – Rex Healthcare is honored to be recognized as one of the country’s “100 Hospitals with Great Women’s Health Programs” by Becker’s Hospital Review.
The publication’s editorial team chose hospitals based on clinical accolades, quality care and women’s health proficiencies and awards. Rex was the only Wake County hospital selected for the list, and one of only three in North Carolina.
“Rex strives to provide excellent care for all patients, and we’re especially proud of the services and treatments we offer to women of all ages,” said Mary Lou Powell, Rex’s vice president for patient care services and chief nursing officer. “The Becker’s honor is a direct result of the hard work and compassion that our physicians and co-workers deliver every day.”
Becker’s noted that Rex works in conjunction with healthcare providers from the UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and N.C. Women’s Hospital to offer high-quality care for women in Wake County. The UNC Specialty Women's Center at Rex offers services in gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, maternal-fetal medicine, urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. Becker’s also pointed out that with 40 private rooms, Rex Women's Center provides a comfortable place for pregnant women and delivers more babies than any other hospital in the Triangle.
Rex has received other recent accolades from Becker’s, including being named one of the country's “100 Great Hospitals” and one of the “100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.” For more information, visit beckershospitalreview.com/lists/.
