Rex Cancer Center Support Funds
Thanks to support from the community through several grants and funds, Rex Cancer Center is able to provide various services.
The Cancer Center Support Fund helps pay for quality enhancements and improvements to equipment and programs at Rex Cancer Center.
The kidscan! fund helps kids understand cancer and how to cope with their feelings when a parent has been diagnosed with it. Special programs offer education and emotional support through fun activities, art, music, games, group discussions and more.
The Mammography Assistance Fund helps pay for mammograms for uninsured or underserved women through our mammography certificate program.
The Prostate Cancer Assistance Fund helps pay for prostate screenings for uninsured or underserved men, as well as follow-up treatment assistance once diagnosed.
The Wilfried T. Weber Endowment for Lymphoma Education is a permanently restricted fund started by Dr. Andrew Weber of Raleigh Radiology and his sister, Christine, in memory of their father. The interest earned from this fund is used for an annual lecture for physicians regarding the latest treatments in lymphoma, as well as educational sessions for lymphoma patients, family members, nurses and caregivers.
The Zeitler Endowment and Crane Endowment are two permanently restricted funds started by Rex Cancer Center's hematology/oncology physicians. Interest earned from these funds is restricted for renovations and expansions of the Cancer Center facility and for leading-edge technology to sustain Rex Cancer Center as a premiere, community-based, not-for-profit center of excellence in the treatment of cancer and hematology.
