RALEIGH, N.C. - Rex Healthcare is proud to announce its recent recognition as one of the "100 Great Places to Work in Healthcare" by Becker's Hospital Review and Becker's ASC Review.
The 2012 list was developed through nominations and extensive research, and the organizations were chosen for their demonstrated excellence in providing robust benefits, wellness initiatives, professional development opportunities and atmospheres of employee unity and satisfaction. Rex was chosen by a review panel based on its efforts to provide high-quality employee programs and benefits as well as previous industry recognition.
"Part of Rex's mission is to be a top place to work in the country because we know that the passion of our co-workers, physicians and volunteers translates into excellent patient care," said Rex President David Strong. "We appreciate Becker's for recognizing our commitment to the more than 5,300 people who are proud to work at Rex."
Rex offers co-workers discounts on enrollment and monthly membership fees at its four, soon-to-be five, wellness centers and provides discounts on health insurance premiums for those who participate in the Rex "Taking Care of You" wellness program. The hospital also has a range of educational opportunities for its employees, including the Pathway for Advancement in Clinical Excellence program and free courses through the Rex Center for Leadership Excellence. Additionally, Rex provides co-workers with a subsidized five-star, onsite daycare, Rex Child Development Center.
