RALEIGH, N.C. - Rex Healthcare is honored to be named one of the country's "100 Great Hospitals" by Becker's Hospital Review, the only hospital in Wake County to receive the designation. The list recognizes hospitals that are "anchors of wellness" in their communities and that have "contributed to the history of American healthcare, made noteworthy accomplishments in 2011 and will continue to make strides this year."
Becker's Hospital Review notes that Rex "is no stranger to innovation in the region and state." It points out that Rex was the first hospital in the region to receive Magnet recognition. Rex also has received recognition as one of the best hospitals to work for by Becker's Hospital Review, Modern Healthcare and others.
"We appreciate Becker's Hospital Review recognizing Rex's commitment to providing excellent medical care for patients, and to improving the overall health of our community," said chief operating officer Steve Burriss. "The passion that our co-workers and physicians demonstrate every day makes Rex a destination for the highest levels of medical care, quality and innovation."
