The 2012 Rex Hospital Open

May 31 - June 3, 2012, TPC Wakefield Plantation, Raleigh, NC

Proceeds benefit the new N.C. Cancer Hospital at Rex

The Rex Hospital Open has been a Raleigh golf mainstay for more than two decades, and this year's tournament looks to be the most exciting one yet! Last year, six professionals came down the stretch tied for the lead. Kyle Thompson sank an eight-foot putt for birdie on 18 in dramatic fashion to win his second Rex Hospital Open and secure his PGA TOUR card for 2012.

With great seating and ticket options, additional food and beverage vendors as well as even more family-friendly entertainment, the 2012 Rex Hospital Open is THE place to be!  Relax, socialize, network and enjoy a great professional golf tournament right here in Raleigh.

The Rex Hospital Open is an official week-long event on the PGA TOUR's Nationwide Tour, held at TPC Wakefield Plantation in North Raleigh. The Nationwide Tour features great golfers of tomorrow...and today (who just missed the cut!)

Over time, The Rex Hospital Open has raised more than $6 million to support programs and services at Rex Hospital. Funds raised from the 2012 event will benefit the new N.C. Cancer Hospital at Rex - the first dedicated cancer hospital in Wake County.

What's new in 2012?

The 2012 Rex Hospital Open Co-Chairs are Two time U.S. Open winner and TPC Wakefield golf course designer, Hale Irwin, and local Carolina Hurricanes great Glen Wesley!

Just like last year we have switched the traditional nines at TPC Wakefield Plantation. Be sure to grab a golf course map and pairings guide on site during the tournament. Take the shuttle in from the Rex Healthcare of Wakefield campus, which makes FREE parking and transport easy - you'll be dropped off right at the front gate and then picked up when you're ready to leave. Shuttle stops are also available to holes 11, 15 and 16 after you have purchased tickets at General Admission.

Hospitality options for our patrons are grand, including new "Champions Club" locations on holes 9, 11, 15, 16 and 18. Snacks and beverages are included in Champions Club ticket price.

We're expanding our seating options on the 18th to include a public grandstand. We're also pushing the ropes on 17 closer to the green to allow for a fantastic seating area and public concessions right behind the green.

In addition to the 19th Hole food & beverage stop, a concessions and viewing area will be located on the 16th green. Soda, beer and public concessions will be available. Last year this was a great public destination to see these pros up close. In addition, we'll continue our long standing tradition of $1 beverages for birdies.
We've switched the nines from last year, so be sure to grab a golf course map and pairings guide on site during the tournament.

This year we have added new hospitality options for our patrons. Additional view boxes will be located on holes 9, 11, 15, 16 and 18. Snacks and beverages are included in view box ticket pricing.
