Mended Hearts

Mended Hearts is a national cardiovascular group affiliated with the American Heart Association. This group provides ongoing education and support to cardiovascular patients. They also visit newly diagnosed cardiovascular patients at Rex Hospital.

Members listen, share their stories, learn from medical professionals, and volunteer to speak with other heart patients about lifestyle changes, depression, recovery and treatment. Each meeting also features a new topic presented by a featured speaker.

Mended Hearts meets in the Cardiac Rehab Area of the Rex Hospital Birth Center on the third Monday of every month (view meeting schedule). The group begins with social time at 6:30 pm and the meeting runs from 7 pm - 8 pm.

Cardiac survivors and their friends and family members are welcome to attend.
