Saturday, October 8th
Le Tour de Femme is a women's only full and half metric century bicycle ride scheduled for October 8, 2011 in Cary, North Carolina. Le Tour de Femme is presented by Grab My Wheel to benefit the Angel Fund at Rex and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The mission of the event is to raise community awareness and funding for Cancer Research and Cancer Survivorship programs.
Ride with Rex!
The ride is open to all female cyclists, at all skill levels, to participate in a ride of 15 miles, 31.2 miles or 62.4 miles in length. Rex will be covering the 15 mile loop! The post-ride celebration will allow for participants to celebrate their accomplishments while enjoying refreshments and intermingling with one another and sponsors.
The ride will start at 9:00am from Cycling Spoken Here. Registration begins at 7:30am. Cycling Spoken Here is located on Maynard Road next to the Cary Volvo dealership.
Register to ride at www.letourdefemme.org. At the end of the sign-up process, be sure to choose the Rex Cancer Center as your team.
Volunteer your time!
Rex will be hosting the 15-mile route for the riders and we need your help. We are looking for 15 people to work the water stop and along the course. Duties will include handing out water and snacks, picking up cups, directing riders, and of course, cheering everyone on!
All volunteers will meet at Cycling Spoken Here at 8am, to be taken out to the course.
