Cancer Support Groups & Programs
Rex Cancer Center offers numerous support groups, classes and programs for our patients, their family members and loved ones. Support groups are an excellent complement to medical care. They provide education and foster emotions that can positively influence the fight against cancer.
Support groups offer a small group setting to exfplore challenges and concerns of coping with a cancer diagnosis. They are for patients who have been recently diagnosed with cancer, are undergoing treatment or have recently completed treatment.
Support networks offer a larger group setting monitored by a nurse navigator or peer leader to encourage conversation and learning about topics pertaining to a particular cancer diagnosis.
We also offer physical image and recovery services to help patients improve their appearance and physical health.
