UNC Urogynecology at Rex

As women age, muscle tone and hormone levels often cause urogynecological issues. The team of urogynecologists from UNC specialize in treating patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions, including incontinence, which can be caused by childbirth, physical stress or injury, chronic disease or prior surgery.

UNC Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery provides expertise in the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary tract, vaginal and colorectal dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and complex benign conditions involving the pelvic organs and musculature, including fistulas and congenital anomalies.

Some UNC specialists are now offering robotic surgery to treat some urogynecological issues. Read more about one procedure used for a UNC Specialty Women's Center at Rex patient.
