MEDIA ALERT: Rex Hospital Open Helps Kids Create Special Father's Day Memory
Families invited to record video message for dad
WHAT: On May 21, Rex Healthcare will host a "Why My Dad's Special" video opportunity allowing children to record a memory for their dad in honor of Father's Day. For families who visit the promotional court at Crabtree Valley Mall, a camera team will record a free 30 second video spot for kids to say why their dad is special. Rex will provide parents with a link to download the clip from the internet. The Rex Hospital Open will showcase all clips on Saturday, June 11 at the Dad's Day Out Expo Area during the tournament.
Several family-friendly activities will be set up including putt-putt and coloring tables. MIX 101.5's Bill Jordan and Carolina sports mascots Mr. Wuf, Muddy and Rex's own Rexie will make appearances. The first 500 kids will receive a free t-shirt. Families can also enter to win two round-trip tickets to anywhere in the continental United States; a drawing will be held at the Rex Hospital Open free concert Saturday night June 11.
WHY: This family event is a fun way to celebrate Father's Day and gear up for the Rex Hospital Open. The
