RALEIGH, N.C. – Rex Healthcare is proud to announce the schedule of military events planned for the final day of this year's Rex Hospital Open to show appreciation for service members and their families. The Open, part of the Web.com National Tour, will take place at The Player's Club at Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh through June 23.
On Sunday, June 23, current and retired military personnel, EMS and police will gain free admission to the tournament. Also that day the Golden Knights, an Army parachute team from Fort Bragg, will perform a demonstration jump for Open attendees at the conclusion of play, approximately 5 p.m. That will be followed by the trophy presentation with this year's tournament winner.
There will also be military vehicles and booths set up in the tournament's Vendor Village. Tee times for the final round of golf that day begin around 7 a.m.
"North Carolina is one of the top five states in military population," said Carson Gilbert, tournament director for the Rex Hospital Open. "We're proud to welcome military members and their families from both North Carolina and across the country to the Rex Hospital Open this year."
