Community Grants

Community Support

As a not-for-profit healthcare organization, UNC REX Healthcare is committed to improving the health and well-being of our community. UNC REX takes great pride in demonstrating excellence in community support through financial assistance, in-kind efforts and applied leadership.

UNC REX co-workers are passionate about community engagement and corporate social responsibility. This passion transcends to interactions at community festivals and events and support of local non-profit partners who also work to improve the health and wellness of our community. We are proud of the hundreds of sponsored outreach efforts and thousands of volunteer hours that our co-workers provide to make a positive impact.

Grants, Sponsorships and In-Kind Support

UNC REX Healthcare invites you to join us to improve the quality of life and health in our community.

Our desire is to extend awareness and education of important preventive efforts, fuel initiatives that generate impactful results and inspire others to become involved in meaningful work to make the Triangle a better place to live, work and play.

For Fiscal Year 2020, UNC REX Healthcare's primary charitable focus is to support health and human services initiatives. Consideration is given to requests that support the Wake County Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) as well as initiatives that best align with UNC REX Healthcare’s strategic priorities.

Through the Wake County CHNA, key issues affecting our community are identified and prioritized. The most recent 2019 CHNA assessed the following: Access to Healthcare, Employment, Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder, Transportation Options and Transit, Housing and Homelessness as the top five health-related issues of greatest concern in our area. In collaboration with Advance Community Health, Alliance Behavioral Health, Duke Raleigh, Triangle United Way, Wake County Human Services, Wake County Medical Society, Wake Med and Youth Thrive, UNC REX is concentrating efforts on these core areas to maximize improvements on these health-related concerns.

Please note if your request does not clearly address the above, funding may not be awarded.

We ask that groups and organizations with 501(c)(3) charitable status seeking UNC REX Healthcare’s financial or in-kind support complete and submit an online application. We are in the process of re-evaluating our application process for grants and sponsorship submissions/approvals. Please check back for updates.
