Rex Healthcare Sponsors FS Series Triathlon Events to Encourage Active Lifestyles

Rex Wellness Offers Training Programs to Prepare for Races in Raleigh, Knightdale and Wakefield

RALEIGH, N.C. – Rex Healthcare announces the third consecutive year offering the FS Series Rex Triathlon Series, another exciting opportunity for Triangle residents to engage in a more active lifestyle. The series includes four triathlons between April and October in Raleigh, Garner and Knightdale.

"Everyone is different when it comes to what drives their workout," says Jeanie Stasko, Health Educator for Rex Wellness Centers. "Whether you thrive through competition or enjoy a more laid back group exercise, Rex is giving the community the opportunity to build the foundation for a permanent active lifestyle."

To help prepare individuals for the triathlon series, Rex offers small group training sessions designed to accommodate three to 10 participants per group. Experienced triathletes teach training techniques and cross conditioning aspects needed to successfully complete a race. Training is available for both members and non-members. The cost begins at $174, based on location and course frequency.

Small group training sessions will be offered to support registered triathlon participants leading up to each of the races:

  • April 28 – Girls Run the World Sprint Triathlon (Women Only) – Wakefield
  • July 14 – Rex Wellness Sprint Triathlon – Garner
  • August 18 – Rex Wellness Sprint Triathlon – Wakefield
  • October 13 – Rex Wellness Sprint Triathlon – Knightdale

Proceeds from the Rex Sprint Triathlon series benefit the Rex Healthcare Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides funding and support for essential programs, care and services at Rex for patients from across Wake County and beyond.
