Family-friendly Community Event Celebrates and Honors Survivors of All Ages


Rex Healthcare will host a National Cancer Survivors Day celebration on Sunday, June 1, marking the 25th year the hospital will bring together survivors in the Triangle. The free event is open to current and former patients, families and friends.

At approximately 4:45 p.m., 60 survivors will participate in a butterfly release to honor all survivors and close the event. The family-friendly affair will also feature inflatables, games and activities for all ages, refreshments, and live entertainment by the Band of Oz. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with each other and with Rex physicians, navigators and caregivers who have improved the lives of thousands of cancer survivors. Bring a lawn chair and join us for this celebration!
