RALEIGH, N.C. – April 26, 2018 – UNC REX Healthcare’s Child Passenger Safety program, which helps thousands of new parents install and inspect infant car seats every year, has received two prestigious honors:
National Child Passenger Safety Technician of the Year
Carseat Safety Technician Chris MorrisChris Morris, the primary child passenger safety technician at UNC REX since 2003, was named National Child Passenger Safety Technician of the Year by the National Child Passenger Safety Board, at an annual Lifesavers Conference in San Antonio. After a long career in law enforcement, Morris joined UNC REX and has become one of the most visible faces at the hospital, spending many hours every week adjusting and inspecting car seats for new parents (and a few grandparents).
