Infusion Therapy

You may be familiar with infusions for treating cancer and cancer-related pain, but many non-cancer conditions are also treated with infusion therapies.

In general, some drugs just work best through infusion. In other cases, non-cancer infusions are given to patients who are dehydrated or in need of iron, who can’t swallow pills, or who need antibiotics long term.

At UNC Health Rex, you will receive your infusion therapy in comfortable, supportive surroundings, with specially trained nurses and medical professionals dedicated to your treatment.
