Understanding Birth eClass w/Live Virtual 'Meet-up' AND Live Labor Support
Understanding Birth eClass is a unique online learning experience that provides comprehensive information you can trust as you prepare for your upcoming birth. In this class, you will learn all about the birth process and medical procedures through helpful video clips, animations, and interactive games. You will also get a sense of what labor is really like as you watch several birth stories.
Prior to starting your eClass, we invite you and a support person to join a live virtual Welcome WebEx session where you can connect with a UNC Rex Certified Childbirth Instructor as well as other class members. Your instructor will help prepare you for your eClass learning.
Once you have attended your Welcome WebEx, we will email you your log-in instructions to start the eClass. You will have 4 weeks to complete your eClass. After finishing your eClass, you and your support person will attend a follow-up Labor Support WebEx with your childbirth instructor and fellow class members. In this virtual session, you will have the chance to ask questions about the eClass content as well as practice various labor support strategies including: comfort measures, positioning, relaxation techniques, and emotional support.
Please ensure that both WebEx dates work for you and your support person’s schedule; we are unable to switch your WebEx after registration.
