Chicken Brats
Chicken Brats
Total time: approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 cup minced yellow onion (1md onion)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbs canola oil
- 1 cup cooked brown rice
- 1 lb. ground chicken breast
- 2 tsp fennel seed
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Dash of ground cloves
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp ginger
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground mustard seed
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1Tbs ground sage
Instructions
- Saute onion and garlic in canola oil until browned.
- Mix browned onion and garlic, and cooked rice, ground chicken breast, and all herbs and spices together.
- Let rest in refrigerator for 1+ hour.
- Roll mixture into sausage shapes, or into 1 ½” meatball size. Bake at 400 F for 15 to 20 minutes, until the internal temperature is 165 F.
