Chocolate Avocado Frosting   

Perfect for icing cakes or using to dip graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or fruit such as apples and strawberries

Ingredients:

  • 2 avocados
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 8 tablespoons pure maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 oz chocolate chips (optional, for richer flavor)

Directions:

  1. Be sure to use soft, ripe avocados.
  2. Discard the peels and pits.
  3. Carefully melt the chocolate chips, if using, by microwaving on high in 10-15 second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval. Combine all ingredients until smooth in a blender, food processor, or using a hand mixer
