Is weight loss surgery right for me?
You are an ideal candidate for bariatric surgery if you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have a BMI of 35-40 with an obesity-related illness, such as type 2 diabetes or sleep apnea (a condition that affects breathing during sleep)
- Have a BMI of 40 or more, regardless of health problems
