Your care team may refer you for lab tests to get a more complete picture of your health. Lab tests, such as blood work and urinalysis, can be part of making a diagnosis, monitoring conditions and treatments, or completing a routine checkup.

Most lab tests do not require an appointment, and patients are typically seen on a first-come, first-served basis. If your care team has submitted a referral for lab work, you can visit our location on the third floor of the North Carolina Heart & Vascular Hospital for blood collection and specimen drop off.
