Women's Health and Heart Clinic at UNC Health Rex
The Women’s Health and Heart Clinic is in Raleigh, on the UNC Health Rex campus, close to Blue Ridge Road and Lake Boone Trail. Patients are seen by board-certified cardiologists and maternal-fetal medicine specialists from UNC Health Rex and the UNC School of Medicine. We provide coordinated, consultative services for ongoing management through primary care.
Our goal is to help patients who had complications in pregnancy learn how their experiences can influence their health and outcomes of future pregnancies. Patient-centered care following preeclampsia and heart disease in pregnancy is the focus of this clinic. Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year – more than all cancers combined. Fortunately, more than 80 percent of those events may be prevented with education and action.
