Wellness Center Updates related to Opening

Updated Mask Requirement:

Governor Cooper announced some additional requirements to fight the current spread of COVID-19 in our state. We will change our mask requirement pursuant to the Governor’s order communicated (below). Effective 5 am, 11/25/2020, face coverings must be worn at all times while members are exercising in our facilities (except while swimming). With the Governor’s order and policy change, if you are unable to wear a face mask and would like to freeze your membership, please contact your home center.

Subsection l(C). Requiring Face Coverings if People Are Exercising.

Section 2.4( d) of Executive Order No. 169 is removed.

The following provision is added to Section 2 of Executive Order No. 169:

2.4A. Face Coverings and Exercise. People must wear Face Coverings while exercising if they are either:

•             Outdoors and within six ( 6) feet of someone who does not reside in the exercising person's household; or

•             Indoors and not within their own home.

Operating Hours - We are currently open Monday – Thursday, 5:00 am – 8:00 pm, Friday, 5:00 am – 7:00 pm Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Screening and Masks – All co-workers and members are screened for COVID symptoms upon entry with a temperature check. Co-workers and members will be required to wear masks at all other times in accordance with North Carolina guidelines. Please consult with one of our instructors if you have any questions.

COVID Screening - We would like to remind members that our online COVIDaware screening is available. This online screening allows you to complete the screening questions on your smartphone or desktop and will speed up your check-in process. The online screening is not mandatory and we will continue to offer in-person screenings for members and co-workers prior to each visit. If completed on your desktop, print a copy of the completed certificate and bring it in the day you plan to enter the Wellness Center. If you complete the Wellness Check on your smartphone, you may show your completed certificate from your phone for the day you are entering the wellness center.

Cleaning and Sanitation - We will ensure that the equipment will be cleaned between every use and signage provided to encourage proper distancing. Sanitation stations are available at convenient locations for you to clean equipment before and after use and our co-workers will be cleaning equipment as well. Please remember to bring your own water bottle since the water coolers are only available to fill bottles. For more information regarding what we are doing to keep you safe during this time, please check here.

Social Distancing - To allow for proper distancing, the number of participants in each group exercise class will be limited and exercise equipment has been rearranged. Locker rooms will be available with limited capacity. In the event that you need to use the locker room and shower, please be courteous to other members by limiting your time in the area and realize that you may be asked to wait before entering.

Class Registration - We will offer online registration for classes and swim times through the member portal on our website. Instructions for class registration is available here and instructions for swim lane registration is available here. We will also continue to offer a variety of online virtual classes for your convenience.

Your account - If you are unsure of the status of your account, please contact your home center. If you are not comfortable returning to the center at this time, you may request a membership freeze by email until 12/31/2020. As long as you return by year-end, you will not be required to re-enroll.
