Fitness Classes

group exercise class in action at REX Wellness CenterOur classes are designed for all fitness levels, from the first-time exerciser to the well-conditioned athlete, giving you the opportunity to exercise with people who have similar health and wellness goals.

A variety of group fitness classes and aquatic group fitness classes are complimentary with your membership.

The REX Wellness Centers also offer specialty classes such as yoga and tai chi. These specialty classes are often open for non-members who chose to attend classes without purchasing a full membership. These classes are open to you as a member at a discounted fee.

We Hear You!

Good news for our virtual class participants! The Virtual Group Fitness Calendar is now live on our website. You can access it by clicking the Virtual Calendar button under Group Fitness Class Schedules on the left side of the page or by visiting it through the Group Fitness Classes tab.

We truly appreciate your patience during our new software rollout. Your feedback matters, and thanks to you, we’ve re-enabled the Virtual Group Fitness Calendar through this calendar application.

For quick access, add the calendar to your smart device and download from the internet using a website browser:

On Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to https://uncwellness.com/calendar/virtual-events-calendar/.
  2. Tap the three-dot icon in the upper-right.\
  3. Find and select “Add to Home screen” from the menu.
  4. You can change the shortcut’s name in the pop-up that appears, then tap “Add.”
  5. Select “Add to home screen” to add the icon to the next open spot, or tap and hold the icon then drag it to your desired location on the home screen.

In some cases, a website may be available as a standalone app, in which case the option will say “Install app” instead. Tapping it will take you to the app’s Play Store page.

On Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge and navigate to https://uncwellness.com/calendar/virtual-events-calendar/.
  2. Tap the “...” icon in the center of the navigation bar.
  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Phone.”
  4. Tap “Add” then select “Add to home screen” to add the icon, or hold and drag to place it manually.

On Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox and navigate to https://uncwellness.com/calendar/virtual-events-calendar/.
  2. Tap the three dot icon in the lower right.
  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home screen.”
  4. Tap “Add” then either hold and drag the icon to your home screen, or select “add to home screen” to place it automatically.

On Safari

  1. Open Safari and navigate to https://uncwellness.com/calendar/virtual-events-calendar/.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow).
  3. Scroll down and select “Add to Home Screen.”
  4. You can customize the shortcut’s name if desired.
  5. Tap “Add” to place the shortcut on your Home Screen.
