U.S. Rep. Ellmers Joins Rex Nurses for Magnet Re-designation

U.S. Congresswoman Renee Ellmers and Rex Healthcare Nurses Gather to Celebrate Nurse Magnet Re-designation

What: Rex Healthcare recently received Magnet® Re-designation for its excellence in nursing care from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the world's largest and most prestigious nurse credentialing organization. U.S. Congresswoman Renee Ellmers, a nurse by profession, will celebrate this accomplishment with Rex nurses.

Why: This re-designation places Rex nurses among the top 6 percent of nurses in the country, and one of only 382 Magnet recognized hospitals in the world.

When: Wednesday, February 2 at 1:30 p.m.

Where: Rex Hospital Courtyard; Rex Hospital is located at 4420 Lake Boone Trail, Raleigh, NC 27607

Who: The event will feature remarks from North Carolina's newly elected United States Congresswoman Renee Ellmers, a nurse and medical community member. The event will also include remarks from David Strong, Rex Healthcare president, Mary Lou Powell, senior vice president and chief nursing officer at Rex Healthcare and Rig Patel, M.D., president of Rex Medical Staff.
